Type odds in any format: American (+150), decimal (2.50), fractional (3/2) or a percentage (40%). See every other format and what a bet pays.

The formats

American odds are used by US sportsbooks. A plus number is what a $100 bet wins (+150 wins $150). A minus number is what you bet to win $100 (-150 risks $150 to win $100).

Decimal odds are what $1 pays back, stake included: 2.50 pays $2.50 for every $1. Fractional odds, common in the UK, are profit over stake: 3/2 wins $3 for every $2.

Implied probability is the chance the price suggests: 1 divided by the decimal odds. +150 implies 40%. Add both sides of a market and you get more than 100%; that extra is the sportsbook's cut. Take it out with the no-vig calculator.

Questions

How do I convert American odds to decimal?

For plus odds, divide by 100 and add 1 (+150 is 2.50). For minus odds, divide 100 by the number without the minus and add 1 (-150 is 1.667).

How do I turn odds into a probability?

Divide 1 by the decimal odds. +150 is 2.50 decimal, so 1 / 2.50 = 40%. For minus odds like -150, it's 150 / 250 = 60%.
